Sunken Cemetery

historical

The Sunken Cemetery in Bonbon, Catarman was created after Mount Vulcan’s eruption in the 1870s caused the old town cemetery to sink underwater, and a large cross was built in 1982 to honor those buried there, making it a peaceful historical landmark today. It is now a popular spot for sunset viewing, snorkeling, and quiet reflection. If you want to go to the cross, you need to pay 150 pesos for the banca or boat service, which already includes a back-and-forth trip.
